I'm on the MyDJEP.biz beta server and need to upgrade to 10 employee limit as I believe I am still on the 3 employee basic. Do I need to do anything special since I am on this server or just subscribe to the higher tier plan as usual? Then I can pick a standalone?

Once you upgrade to the $20 per month subscription you can moved your account to a standalone domain or stay on your current domain. The choice is yours. Regarding moving to a standalone domain send an email to char@djeventplanner.com and she can assist you with that process.
